Mrs. Maureen Layng is the assistant principal of students at Immaculate Heart Academy. Her past roles at IHA include assistant principal of academics, director of the performing arts, English Department chairperson, and teacher.

 

Mrs. Layng graduated summa cum laude from Iona College with a dual degree in English and history and a minor in performing arts. She also holds an M.S.T. degree from Iona’s Graduate School with a dual concentration in adolescent English and social studies, as well as an M.A. degree from St. Peter's University in educational leadership.

Mrs. Layng has been at IHA since 2013 and loves the community of academic excellence, extracurricular achievement, and Catholic values fostered by IHA.
