2. How do I become a member of the IHA Parents’ Club?

Every parent and guardian of an IHA student is a member of the Parents’ Club. The Parents’ Club Board is committed to keeping parents informed, meeting the needs of concerned high school parents, assisting the school in their fundraising efforts, and planning and providing parent and parent-daughter events that promote closer relationships with each family and within the IHA family. 3. What books will my student need?
Immaculate Heart Academy provides textbooks and e-texts for the majority of classes. However, most classes also require supplemental books that must be purchased prior to the start of the school year. In an effort to ensure families are able to purchase the book at the lowest price, we are providing a list of book titles, ISBN numbers, and suggested vendors. Please click here for a list of supplemental books that need to be purchased for classes for the 2025-26 school year. Please refer to your course names on Genesis and the corresponding title on the attached list.

4. What are IHA’s busing and carpool options? 
Families can reach out to Mrs. Kathleen DeRosa (kderosa@ihanj.com) for questions regarding busing and for possible carpool arrangements.

5. What is the school day schedule? Is there anything I need to know about drop-off and pickup?
The full school day schedule is 7:45 a.m. – 2 p.m. Early dismissal days will be either 12 p.m. or 12:45 p.m. and are noted accordingly on the IHA school calendar. Students can arrive at IHA as early as 6:45 a.m. and access the building with their IHA ID card. Drop-off and pickup occur in the back of the school. Students may not enter or exit through the front doors of the building during drop-off or pickup. Cars are not permitted to park or line up along Van Emburgh Avenue at pickup. Please note, since traffic can be heavy at 2:00 pm, parents are strongly encouraged to arrange for pickup after 2:10 p.m. when the bus lot empties and parking becomes available. As a bonus, this will allow your student time to meet with teachers or clubs before reporting to the rear parking lot.

6. What supplies does my student need?
Teachers will inform students of what supplies are required for each class on the first day of school.

7. Where can I buy IHA spirit wear?
Purchase IHA uniform polos, fleeces, gym uniforms, sweatshirts, and swag at the Campus Shop, located in the cafeteria during lunch or online anytime. Any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Janell Caufield at jcaufield@ihanj.com.

8. How will my student order food? 
Cater To You Food Service is our onsite dining provider. Students can purchase food in the cafeteria before school, during Locker Break, and at lunch. In addition to cash purchases, students can fund their IHA ID card and use their ID to pay at checkout. Click here for how to register for cashless dining.

9. Is IHA looking for parent volunteers? 
Volunteering is a great way to meet other IHA families! We are always in need of volunteers to help with the Campus Shop, school events, and much more. If you are interested in getting more involved, reach out to the IHA Parents’ Club moderator, Mrs. Sarah Frasure ’07 at sfrasure@ihanj.com.
